Frequently Asked Questions

What is a sorority?

A sorority is a group of women bound together by sisterhood and common goals and aspirations. The members that form a sorority share their efforts, friendship and knowledge. This forms a sisterhood amongst members which helps to develop strong and creative leadership, leading to success. Greek organizations enhance your educational experience by emphasizing intellectual, interpersonal and social development. The ideals of lifelong friendship, sound education, campus and community service, and social interaction are what Greek members strive to live by every day.

What is recruitment?

Recruitment occurs in the first couple of weeks of each Fall and Spring semester and kicks off at MSC Open House. It allows the active members and potential interests of the sorority to get to know each other. Several events take place where these women can learn more about our organization, our principles, and other important aspects of being a leader as a sister.

If I go through recruitment, do I have to join?

No. Recruitment is a time to see what Greek life can offer you! Going through Recruitment and its functions does not commit you to joining. We strongly suggest that you go around the A&M campus and get to know all the different organizations before making your decision.

Do you have to live in a sorority house?

At this time our sorority does not have a house; therefore many girls often live at home, in the dorms, or apartments.
